Top 9th: Brandon Inge blocked the plate, saving a run! Alex Cintron had 2 base hits at Pro Player Stadium as the Dublin Pubcrawlers pulled off a dramatic comeback beating the Burbank Tigers by the count of 2 to 1. Dublin had the winning rally in the 9th inning with 2 runs on 3 hits. After an out was recorded, David Eckstein keyed the rally when he stroked a one-base hit. Adam Smith then called for a steal which was successful. Miguel Olivo then reached on an error which scored a run. Jason Michaels was up next and he smacked a single, and an error was also committed. Shane Spencer came to the plate and drew a walk to load the bases. Cintron continued the rally and lined a base-hit scoring the final run of the inning. Dublin finished with just 5 hits in the victory. The victory went to Grant Balfour(2-0) who went 2 and 1/3 innings, allowing no runs. John Smoltz earned his 9th save. Barry Zito(4-5) was tagged with the loss. 'The only way this one could have been better', said Balfour, 'was if we had played it at home.'
